Sarah Palin Easily Wins Politico Poll Over Obama

Sarah Palin Easily Wins 3rd Politico Poll Over Obama & Biden

Once again Sarah Palin easily wins Politico’s Poll:  Which politician would you like to follow around for a day?   With 28,540 votes cast Sarah Palin took 57% of the votes compared to 23% for the disaster Obama and 2% for the buffoon Biden.

Back in early August and September Sarah Palin also easily handled her GOP counterparts on 2 separate Politico polls and also a huge Newsmax poll with over 600,000 votes cast.  In the August Politico Poll Sarah Palin received 46% to Governor Romney’s 25% and Speaker Gingrich’s 6%.  Politico’s September poll Sarah Palin also dominated with 55%, Governor Romney 15% & Governor Huckabee 10%.  This poll had a total of 24,046 votes were cast.

The largest and most comprehensive poll, by Newsmax, Sarah Palin did even better.  She received an overall 83% approval rating and 78% said they would support her if she runs in 2012.  By all accounts, Sarah Palin is the most popular GOP politician in the country and the front runner for 2012.  Not a single other candidate could fill a stadium nor out sell every author in the country.  Within 8 hours of announcing her upcoming book Going Rogue and 8 weeks before it is released the Going Rogue will most likely call for a 2nd printing.   The disaster Obama could not even fill a stadium unless it was a coordinated effort with union help or a paid-to-be-there audience.   As we all saw with his the fake town hall meetings for Obamacare.

As Obama creates more poverty and makes the poor poorer Sarah Palin seems to be doing everything correct.  She is in control of the health care debate and beating Obama at every turn.   The reality is Obama has no business being in The White House and she does.  Embarrassingly, Obama is being pushed around by the UN, Iran, Chavez, nearly every European leader and, of course, Sarah Palin.   God help us all.

Amazon and Wal-Mart Price war on Sarah Palin Going Rogue

Amazon and Wal-Mart Price war on Sarah Palin Going Rogue

Going Rouge Price war

Going Rouge Price war

Amazon.com and Wal-Mart are engaged in all out a book price war. Wal-Mart is determined to steal Amazon.com’s business and so has lowered prices on new best selling hard covers. Amazon.com then matches Wal-Mart’s price. Sarah Palin’s new book, Going Rogue was marked down to a ridiculously low price of $9 by Wal-Mart. Amazon.com followed suit reduced the price of Going Rogue.

Wal-Mart triggered the online skirmish Thursday when it began selling its 10 most anticipated hard covers for $10 apiece when pre-ordered on its Web site. Amazon matched the offer hours later and Wal-Mart then chopped its price to $9. Friday morning Amazon had matched the price.

“I’m worried about the major book-selling chains, and I’m concerned about

the implications for publishers and the public alike,” said David Young, chief executive of Lagardere SCA’s Hachette Book Group, one of the country’s largest book publishers. He and other publishers said they feared the online pricing could hurt small independent book sellers and big retail chains.

A Walmart.com spokesman said Friday that the discount giant was prepared to make further cuts. The retailer’s Web site will continue to adjust its prices, spokesman Ravi Jariwala said in an email, “so that Walmart.com offers the lowest online prices.” Late Friday afternoon, it dropped the Going Rogue price a penny, to $8.99.

Walmart.com CEO Raul Vazquez said in an interview Thursday that the retailer “will go as low as we need to” to underscore Walmart.com’s intent to be a low-price leader online. The retailer this month has sought to expand its Web presence, creating an Amazon-like online marketplace for other retailers and offering home delivery for purchases such as shampoo and diapers.

The major publishers and retail chains are quite upset. A spokesman for Hachette said that when major retailers are allowed to sell below cost, the price deflation destabilizes the market. He noted that in France it is actually illegal to sell books below cost. When publishers don’t make enough money, they start cutting mid-list authors and won’t promote new authors, which means there will be fewer books to choose from. But it’s not just price wars on hard covers that are hurting the book industry. The lower price of ebooks is also cutting into profit margins.

As for independent bookstores, you may have noticed that are becoming more and rarer. Soon, they won’t exist at all. No one will buy a new Sarah Palin book, Going Rogue for $28.99 (cover price) when one can buy it from Amazon.com or Wal-Mart for $9 — especially in this economy downturn.

Sarah Palin’s Going Rogue topped the list of Best sellers

  • October 18, 2009 10:48 am

The Going Rogue will be released only on 17th November and Going Rogue already topped the list at Amazon, Walmart and Barnes & Noble.com.

Sarah Palin ‘grateful’ for top spot going-rouge-best seller

A publishing industry source told POLITICO that they “cannot remember a non-fiction book taking off like this in the pre-order market. It became number one only a couple of hours after nothing more than a date announcement. It is truly unprecedented.”

Two days after the release date of Sarah Palin’s book was announced, it’s already become the top seller at both Amazon.com and Barnes & Noble.com.

Sarah Palin’s ‘Going Rogue‘ publisher announced Monday that the former governor of Alaska and Republican vice presidential candidate had finished her memoir, “Going Rogue: An American Life,” early and was moving the release date up from the spring to November 17.

A Palin source told POLITICO that she “is very grateful” for the strong early sales.

“This book has taken off like a rocket,” the source said.

Much of the 400-page book is based on journals Sarah Palin kept during her vice-presidential run. Palin collaborated on the book with Lynn Vincent, a San Diego-based writer who has co-written several books.
